Dakota is committed to equity and justice throughout the South, and believes in the power of diverse communities to unite and advocate for their interests to drive meaningful change. As a Tulane graduate, she looks forward to continuing to build mutual understanding grounded in justice throughout New Orleans. Her passion for education, equity, and community has led her to intern with Puentes NOLA, The New Neighbor Project, and the Bureau of Western Hemisphere’s Race, Ethnicity, and Social Inclusion Unit at the U.S. Department of State. Now, as the New Orleans Organizer at Power Coalition, she is responsible for advancing equity and justice through community engagement, organizing, and power building.
