Orleans Parish Prison Reform Coalition (OPPRC) is hosting Learn & Share: Supporting Mental Health Crises Without Police events! Police interactions during mental health crises cost us a lot of tax dollars, and it’s both emotionally traumatizing and physically harmful. When the police respond to mental health crises, they often escalate situations while negatively impacting community health across New Orleans communities. There is another way.
