Power Day at the Capitol
The Power Coalition for Equity and Justice will host its annual Power Day at the Capitol on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Louisiana State Capitol.This year’s Power Day comes at a pivotal moment for democracy in Louisiana. On March 24, the Power Coalition stood before the U.S. Supreme Court in Louisiana v. Callais, a landmark redistricting case that could reshape how voting rights are protected nationwide. Just days later, on March 29, Louisiana voters delivered a resounding message by rejecting all constitutional amendments on the ballot—a victory for grassroots organizing and civic engagement led by the Coalition and its partners.
