Redistricting: Fair Maps Mobilization

Following oral arguments in Louisiana v. Callais, Governor Jeff Landry has called a special session of the Louisiana Legislature to consider the election code, dates, deadlines, and plans for the 2026 election cycle. However, the governor has provided no transparency as to his plans. This session could remove Black congressional districts and disenfranchise voters. Let’s get mobilized and stand up for representation and Democracy. Join our mobilization and make your voice heard.

  • The legislature is trying to undo fair and equitable maps and change next year’s
    election cycle.
  • We need you to show up Monday, October 27 at 1:00 PM to fight back and stand up for fair maps!
  • Transportation is available. Sign up to join.

But after our big show of energy on the First Day of the Special Session, it is equally important that we show up in committee, share testimony, and hold our legislators accountable throughout the entire special session.

In an effort to organize around a complete special session strategy, we are reaching out to partners now to get folks committed to being at the Capitol every single day of this unnecessary special session.
