Baton Rouge: Gus Young Juneteenth Celebration

Join us for the Juneteenth Freedom Day Celebration on Saturday, June 13, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at BREC Gus Young Park!

Enjoy an afternoon filled with live music from Kenny Neal & The Neal Family, delicious food, family-friendly activities, cultural experiences, community resources, and more as we honor the history, resilience, and achievements of African Americans.

Hosted by Rep. C. Denise Marcelle, this free community event brings together organizations, businesses, and residents for a day of unity, reflection, and celebration.
